With the soft opening of the first two of three new trails within Phase 1, we, along with DCNR, are soliciting trail name suggestions. For the next two weeks (June 16 - 28), we invite everyone to begin enjoying the new trails and being inspired by the surroundings. Once you've experienced a bit of what the trails have to offer, utilize the form below to submit your name suggestions. We will then pare down the list of suggestions and offer public voting to choose the names beginning the week of June 30th.

Note that Trail A begins at the Musser Gap trailhead, meanders up and over the first ridgeline, and connects to Musser Gap trail.

Trail B connects to Trail A south of the ridgeline, crosses the powerline access road and continues up and over the Mid-State trail, ultimately leading to Pine Swamp Road.

On July 10th at 5PM, we are hosting a public grand opening at Musser Gap to celebrate the completion of the new trails and announce their names. More details to follow soon.

There are a few guidelines to follow:

• Trails may not be named after a person or company

• Trail names are limited to 28 characters (including spaces) to fit on a standard signpost

• ​You may enter as many times as you like 

• By submitting the form, you consent to being added to the Rothrock Trail Alliance email newsletter
